Deleting your Vela data

You're always in control of your data on Vela. Here's how to delete it.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open Vela and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to Delete account and confirm.
3. Your profile, photos, voice recordings, messages, and matches are removed.

Request deletion by email

If you can't access your account, email hello@vela.dating from the address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We may verify your identity first.

What's removed, and when

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days — except limited records we're legally required to keep (for example, transaction records, and limited safety records of serious violations).

If you signed in with Facebook

Deleting your Vela account removes the data Vela holds about you. To also remove Vela's access from your Facebook account, open Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites and remove Vela.
